Our Client currently operates a US$1.5 billion business which spans 140 countries with 13,000 staff working in all sectors from transport, energy, buildings, water and the environment to health and education, industry and communications. The business is continually winning commercial and Industry awards, including being ‘International Consultancy of the year’ (NCE/ACE).

They are looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer who can demonstrate leadership skills to join their team in the Bahrain office. They are currently involved in many prestigious projects within the Middle East.

The appointed individual will be involved at senior level with developing, designing and detailing activities for building structures schemes, together with associated project/financial management activity. The role will also encompass mentoring junior engineers. Have the opportunity to project manage engineering teams comprising building services engineers and civil engineers.

The successful candidate will have day to day running of projects, including technical, staff and financial management. Business development activities including obtaining new clients, maintaining existing clients, identifying new opportunities, support to marketing and business development plans. Non-technical managerial activities such carrying out Professional Development Reviews and assisting with day-to-day running of the structures department.

Responsibilities to include:

· Interpreting and delivering the project/client briefs
· Input and advising on Technical content of projects
· Project staffing programming and budgets
· Identifying resource requirements for project delivery against programme
· Client liaison and project meetings
· Identifying further opportunities with existing and new clients

To be successful you must be degree qualified with significant structural engineering consultancy experience with management of Engineers/CAD staff.
