This company is a large size regional contractor with an annual turnover in the region of $20million and is looking for experienced and committed people to join its existing team to work on new and existing Highway construction projects.

Projects will include construction of new highways and rehabilitation of an existing highway in North Central, Nigeria. This will include concrete / asphalt pavement and all associated Highway RC structures. As Asphalt Supervisor you will have had a proven track record of running employees efficiently and effectively. You should have a strong “delivery” focus with your team, the client, and suppliers and are committed to safety and excellence in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will have progressed through the ranks with a minimum of 10 years experience on the tools and at least 5 years in a supervisory role within a similar size contractor. You will have relevant experience and a sound knowledge of asphalt plants, equipment, materials and techniques involved in asphalt mixing and laying.

In the role of Asphalt Supervisor you will be responsible for:
· Managing and coordinating multiple asphalt laying operations on a daily basis,
· Managing the use and deployment of multiple asphalt plants, pavers, delivery lorries and laying gangs.
· Liaising with external clients,
· Coordinating, supervising and monitoring upcoming works,
· Completing and managing relevant paperwork,
· Managing & motivating a dedicated workforce,
· Conducting site inspections,
· Interpreting plans and technical specifications,
· Managing & driving safety, quality and environmental initiatives within the workplace,

Candidates should have a construction background with preferably previous experience in hardship locations. A Base Salary is offered with a local allowance, medical, accommodation, transport, flights and performance bonus available.
