We are working with an international consultancy currently seeking a Water and Wastewater Design Team Leader for Jordan.

The project seeks to improve the water supply, sanitation and wastewater infrastructure to communities in the area north of the capital city of Amman.

The project involves assessment and improvement of water distribution networks, the rehabilitation and extension of sewer systems, along with the rehabilitation of associated infrastructure such as pumping stations, wells and reservoirs. The company will be responsible for the detailed design, tender process, assistance with tendering, construction supervision and defects notification stages.

Expected start date of the Design Team Leader is to be February 2024. The Team Leaders input is to be approximately 14 months duration whilst implementing the design and tender stage; with the potential to be present on a part-time basis during construction supervision. The successful candidate will work with a team of approximately 15 international and local experts.

Candidate Criteria:
Minimum University degree, preferably MSc or MEng in a water / environmental subject or similar;
Experience as a project manager or team leader for similar projects focusing on the design of water and wastewater improvement schemes;
Experience working on International Funded Institutions under FIDIC conditions of contract;
Ability to manage a team composed of both international and local experts;
Previous work experience in the MENA region is advantageous;
Fluency in English is essential.
